Honda BR-V discontinued in Pakistan after nine years
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has ended production of the Honda BR-V in Pakistan. The company told the Pakistan Stock Exchange on 1 October that it has discontinued production of the model. The BR-V is no longer part of Honda Atlas current local lineup, and new units are no longer sold at showrooms. Buyers who still want one will now have to check leftover dealer stock or the used market.
The BR-V was launched in Pakistan on 21 April 2017 as Honda Atlas first locally assembled seven seater. It stayed in local production for about nine years, which is a long run for a single model in Pakistan. At launch it was sold as a practical family car with three rows of seats, a raised driving position, and a price well below large SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner. That mix made it one of the first locally built seven seat crossovers in the country. Our full model page still lists its specs and final prices: Honda BR-V price in Pakistan.
The end of the BR-V is not a surprise to people who follow the local market closely. Sales had fallen to a low level in its final months, and Honda Atlas has been shifting its focus to newer models and hybrid cars. The company has not announced a direct replacement for the BR-V. For now, its locally assembled lineup is built around the Honda City, the Honda Civic, and the Honda HR-V.

What Honda Atlas actually said
The discontinuation notice was short. In a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange dated 1 October, Honda Atlas said it has discontinued production of the Honda BR-V model. A senior Honda Atlas executive later confirmed to the press that the model had reached the end of its production cycle, with production down to only 25 to 50 units a month in its final phase.
There was no farewell announcement and no special final edition. The model simply vanished from Honda Atlas official lineup and from its Pakistan website. That quiet exit matches how the news first spread in late September, when reports noted that the BR-V was no longer listed among Honda current models.
Honda Atlas has not given one single public reason for ending the model. Reports point to a mix of causes: falling demand, stronger competition from newer crossovers, and a shift in buyer taste toward hybrid cars. The BR-V kept a simple petrol engine through its whole run and never gained a hybrid version, while Honda Atlas has been pushing hybrid technology in its newer cars.
From Rs 2.23 million to Rs 6.43 million
When the BR-V launched in 2017, it cost about Rs 2.23 million for the i-VTEC variant and about Rs 2.33 million for the i-VTEC S variant. By the end of its run, the price had climbed to about Rs 6.43 million for the single remaining variant, the i-VTEC S. That last figure was an ex-factory price, so freight, taxes, and documentation charges came on top of it.
The price rise tells the story of the whole market over the same nine years. Currency weakness, higher taxes, and rising input costs pushed the prices of almost all locally assembled cars up sharply. The BR-V roughly tripled in price from launch to its final year, even though the basic car changed little after its facelift in October 2019.
| Point in time | Honda BR-V price in Pakistan |
| Launch, April 2017 | About Rs 2.23 million (i-VTEC) to Rs 2.33 million (i-VTEC S) |
| Facelift, October 2019 | Updated styling and equipment, same 1.5 litre petrol engine |
| Final year, 2026 | Rs 6,429,000 (i-VTEC S, ex-factory, last recorded price) |
| October 2026 | Production discontinued, no longer sold as a new car |
The figures above are the last recorded prices reported in the press. They are not current showroom prices, because the car is no longer on sale as a new model. Anyone quoting a BR-V price today should say clearly whether it is a leftover new unit, which is rare, or a used car price, which depends on year, condition, and mileage.
Why the BR-V lost its place
The BR-V sold well at first. Honda sold 7,318 BR-V units in calendar 2017 alone, a strong start for a new seven seater. But sales faded over the years as the market changed around it. Newer crossovers arrived with more features, sharper styling, and in many cases hybrid power. Chinese brands in particular changed what buyers expected at this price level.
Inside Honda own lineup, the HR-V also took sales away from the BR-V. Honda launched the HR-V in Pakistan in 2022, and in July 2025 it added the HR-V e hybrid. By 2026, Honda Atlas was clearly building its crossover story around the HR-V and hybrid power, not around the older BR-V. In September 2026, Honda cut HR-V prices after changes linked to hybrid taxation, with the HR-V e reported down by about Rs 1.07 million to about Rs 9.299 million.
The wider market also moved on. When the BR-V launched, Pakistan was still mostly a sedan market, with the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, and Honda City doing most of the business. By 2026, crossovers and SUVs had become the most competitive part of the market. The BR-V helped open that segment, but it was eventually outpaced by the very competition it helped create.
What this means for BR-V owners
Current BR-V owners do not need to worry about their cars at once. Discontinuation ends new production, it does not end service. Honda Atlas dealers and workshops will still service the car, and common parts should stay available for years because so many BR-V units were sold over nine years. Owners should still confirm parts availability for less common items before a major repair, as stocks thin out over time.
For used buyers, the end of production cuts both ways. On one hand, a well kept BR-V remains a useful seven seat family car, and used prices may stay firm because no new alternative at the same price exists in Honda lineup. On the other hand, buyers should check the car carefully, confirm its service history, and remember that future resale will depend on how the used market treats a discontinued model.
For new car buyers who wanted a seven seater, the choice has narrowed. Honda Atlas does not offer a direct seven seat replacement right now. Buyers must look at other brands for a new seven seater, or accept a five seat crossover such as the HR-V, or look at larger and more costly SUVs.
What Honda sells now instead
Honda Atlas current locally assembled lineup is built around three models: the Honda City sedan, the Honda Civic sedan, and the Honda HR-V crossover. The HR-V is now the main crossover in the lineup, and the hybrid HR-V e shows where Honda is heading. The company has not confirmed any future seven seat crossover or MPV for Pakistan, though there has been speculation about one. Buyers comparing older seven seaters can also see our Toyota Rush price in Pakistan page.
That gap matters for families. The BR-V was the only Honda seven seater that most middle income buyers could reach. Without it, Honda has no answer for a buyer who needs three rows of seats at a mid range price. Whether Honda fills that gap later with a new model, or leaves seven seat buyers to other brands, is one of the open questions for 2027.
Where this news comes from
This post is based on Honda Atlas filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange dated 1 October, as reported by Profit on 5 October, and on reporting by TechJuice on 29 September and Daily Pakistan on 29 September. The launch date, launch prices, and final price figures come from those same reports. The images in this post are general illustrations of a seven seat family crossover, not photos of the actual Honda BR-V, because no official press photo set was used for this news post.
- Clear news for buyers: the BR-V is officially out of production, so no one wastes time hunting for a new unit at a showroom.
- Used BR-V values get a clear story: a well kept car keeps its use as a practical seven seater even after production ends.
- Honda focus is now clear: City, Civic, and HR-V, with hybrid power at the centre of its crossover plans.
- No direct replacement: Honda has no new seven seater at a mid range price for families who need three rows.
- New BR-V stock is gone: buyers must rely on rare leftover units or the used market, with no factory warranty on a fresh purchase.
- Parts and resale risk over time: support should continue, but both can thin out as the model ages out of the market.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Honda BR-V discontinued in Pakistan?
Yes. Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan told the Pakistan Stock Exchange on 1 October that it has discontinued production of the Honda BR-V. The model is no longer listed in Honda Atlas current local lineup.
What was the last price of the Honda BR-V in Pakistan?
The last recorded price was Rs 6,429,000 for the i-VTEC S variant, ex-factory. That was the price before production ended. It is not a current showroom price, because the car is no longer sold as new.
Can I still buy a new Honda BR-V?
Only if a dealer still holds a leftover unit, which is rare. In practice, buyers must now look at the used market. Always confirm whether a quoted price is for a leftover new unit or a used car, and check the year and condition.
Will Honda service my BR-V after discontinuation?
Yes, in the normal way. Discontinuation ends new production, not service. Dealers and workshops will still service the car, and common parts should stay available because many BR-V units were sold over nine years.
What is Honda replacement for the BR-V?
There is none announced yet. Honda Atlas has not confirmed a direct seven seat replacement. Its current lineup is the City, the Civic, and the HR-V, with the HR-V as the main crossover.
