Muhammad NaeemThe WD Black SN850X is Western Digital’s gaming NVMe drive and the closest rival to Samsung’s 990 PRO. It posts near-identical Gen4 speeds, carries the same 5-year warranty promise, and in Pakistan right now it has one big practical advantage: two proper PC stores show it in stock at close prices.
Quick answer: the WD Black SN850X 1TB price in Pakistan is Rs 52,999 at TechGlobe.pk and Rs 54,999 at JunaidTech.pk, both listed in stock on 1 October 2026. A third outlet lists the drive at Rs 84,999, which is far above the dedicated PC stores and worth ignoring unless it is the only stock you can find.
WD Black SN850X 1TB Price in Pakistan: Verified Seller Prices
| Seller | Configuration | Price | Stock note |
| TechGlobe.pk | 1TB (WDS100T2X0E family) | Rs 52,999 | In stock at last check; 2-year warranty listed |
| JunaidTech.pk | 1TB WDS100T2X0E | Rs 54,999 | In stock at last check; 1-year local warranty |
| DiscountStore.pk | 1TB (bare drive) | Rs 84,999 | Listed; far above the two PC stores, treat as an outlier |
Two in-stock listings within Rs 2,000 of each other is about as clean as SSD pricing gets in Pakistan. Both TechGlobe.pk and JunaidTech.pk list the same 1TB class drive, so the choice between them comes down to warranty length and your city. The DiscountStore.pk figure shows how wide the spread can get at generalist stores; it is real, but it is not the price you should anchor on.

Western Digital publishes the full datasheet on the official WD Black SN850X product page. One honest gap: Western Digital does not name the controller, and does not state a DRAM figure, in its datasheet. Teardowns by review sites report a DRAM-equipped in-house design, but that detail is third-party reporting, not an official spec.
What These Specs Mean in Daily Use
At 7,300 MB/s reads and 6,300 MB/s writes, the SN850X sits within a few percent of the fastest Gen4 drives in sequential work. Game load times on a modern motherboard are effectively a tie with the 990 PRO, and the drive’s Game Mode 2.0 firmware features are aimed at exactly that workload. Endurance is rated at 600 TBW for the 1TB model, in line with rivals, and the slim single-sided 2.38 mm profile fits laptops and the PS5 slot as long as you sort out a heatsink for console use.
If your motherboard is PCIe 3.0 only, the SN850X still works, capped near 3,500 MB/s like any Gen4 drive on a Gen3 slot. In that case a cheaper Gen3 or budget Gen4 drive deserves a look before you spend flagship money.
Buying Advice for Pakistan
Buy from the two in-stock listings and skip the outlier. TechGlobe.pk lists a 2-year warranty, JunaidTech.pk lists 1 year; that difference is worth more than the Rs 2,000 price gap if you keep drives for a long time, so ask both sellers to confirm the warranty in writing on the invoice. JunaidTech.pk also asks buyers to reconfirm price and availability on WhatsApp before payment, which is standard practice here and worth doing with every seller. Check that the box model reads WDS100T2X0E for the 1TB bare drive, because a heatsink variant carries a different model code and should be priced as such.
Cross-shopping the Gen4 flagships? Compare this with the Samsung 990 PRO 1TB price in Pakistan and the Kingston KC3000 1TB price in Pakistan, which was the cheapest verified in-stock flagship-class 1TB drive in this batch.
- Flagship Gen4 speeds: 7,300 MB/s reads, 6,300 MB/s writes
- In stock at two proper PC stores at close, verifiable prices
- 5-year limited warranty and 600 TBW endurance
- Slim single-sided design suits laptops as well as desktops
- WD does not name the controller or DRAM in the official datasheet
- Bare drive needs a separate heatsink for PS5 use
- Generalist stores quote far higher prices for the same drive
- Local warranty is 1 to 2 years against a 5-year manufacturer term

Frequently Asked Questions
WD Black SN850X or Samsung 990 PRO, which should I buy?
Performance is close enough that price and stock should decide. In this check the SN850X had two in-stock listings at Rs 52,999 to Rs 54,999, while the 990 PRO’s live listings were split between a cheap heatsink unit and a much pricier bare drive. If the Samsung heatsink listing is in stock at Rs 48,500 it wins on value; otherwise the SN850X is the safer buy.
Does the SN850X work in a PS5?
Yes. Its speeds clear Sony’s requirements and the M.2 2280 size fits the expansion bay. Sony requires a heatsink, and the commonly sold WDS100T2X0E is the bare drive, so budget for a PS5-compatible heatsink or look for the heatsink variant under its own model code.
Why is one store charging Rs 84,999 for the same drive?
Generalist and import-on-demand stores often price PC parts well above dedicated component shops in Pakistan, and their pages update slowly. Use the in-stock prices at established PC stores as your anchor, and treat any quote far above them as a reason to shop elsewhere.
